Pernštejn – one of the best preserved castles of the Czech Republic, the patrimonial nest of the noble family of Pernštejn and the real pearl of the Gothic. Interestingly, further restructuring has hardly affected old gothic structures. In the guise of Pernstein can be traced all stages of the transformation of the Gothic fortress in the palace of the era rebirth and renaissance.
The castle was founded by Pernsteins at the end of the 13th century and stands on rocky ground among forests and hills. Located in northeastern Bohemia near Brno.
