Konopiste Castle (Czech Republic)
Konopiste is a stone castle in the Czech Republic, founded in the 13th century. AT architectural plan stands out among other Czech castles in that It is built in the style of medieval French fortresses. Konopishte guarded by seven powerful tower, each of which was mini fortress. The castle had five gates and two lifting bridges. Konopishte was considered one of the most impregnable Czech strongholds, but It was successfully taken by the Swedes during the Thirty Years War.
