Kasperk – an ancient stone castle, lost among mysterious Šumava forests in the Czech Republic. This fortress was built in 14th century by Charles IV to protect the gold mines and the trade route from Bohemian kingdom in Bavaria. Kasperk located on northeast slope of the hill Zhdanov. In this castle you will not find no expensive frills, this is a harsh fortress and everything about it testifies: powerful walls, side towers with almost no windows, spartan interior.
