Castle Bitov (Czech Republic)
Bitov is one of the oldest castles in the Czech Republic, founded in the 11th century. Located in South Moravia at the confluence of the Zheltavka and Dyje rivers near the town of Znojmo. The architectural style of Gothic and Baroque. This powerful fortress defended the South Bohemian Frontiers from early the middle ages. The modern look of the castle was in the 19th century. Contains many unique exhibits, including the largest in the world collection of dog stuffed animals.
Operation mode:
April and October from 9 to 16 o’clock – only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. On weekdays – only pre-booked excursions. First tour starts at 10 o’clock.
May, June and September every day, except Mondays, from 9 to 17 hours
