The authorities of the Greek island of Alonissos prepared a number of solutions to increase the number of tourists in the coming season. The program will focus on the development of traditional types of recreation – diving and hiking, and to hold original events – weddings under water.
The main goal that local authorities set for themselves is increasing the tourist season on the island with unconventional solutions that reveal the full potential of Alonissos.
“Our goal is to maintain contact with our permanent markets and find a way to attract tourists from countries to which our island is not very famous. We want see more holidaymakers from Poland, Romania and Russia “, – commented on the head of the Tourism Development Committee on Alonissos Kiki Anangnos.
It is also planned to expand the PR campaign, attracting journalists from a larger number of publications, presentations and meetings for tourism industry professionals.
Alonissos is a Greek island in the western part of the Aegean Sea, belonging to the archipelago of the Northern Sporades. Neighbors: Skopelos, Skiathos
