According to analysts, the total number of tourists arriving at island by air, in 2013 amounted to about 480 thousand person. Therefore, we can confidently say that this year Zakynthos was visited by more than half a million holidaymakers from all over the world.
Also recall that this year the total tourist flow in Greece broke all records of past years. So total tourists who visited the territory of Greece, was about 17.5 million people, moreover, the Russians arrived about 1 million.
In turn, the Greek Ministry of Tourism plans significantly increase these figures and by 2021 go out to mark 22-24 million tourists. At the same time income to the economy of Greece from tourism will increase by 17 billion euros.
