Пятый год подряд с 19 по 21 сентября на греческом острове ЭгинаPistachio Festival will be held.
We all know that autumn is a time when throughout the country harvest. In Greece, the main culture is, of course, grapes, which is dedicated to the collection of most events. The no less a holiday that these days will be held on Heine It is not about grapes at all, but about … a light-loving pistachio.
It should be noted that the pistachios of the island of Aegina are marked European product certificate that protects agricultural crop by geographical designation.
Of course, pistachio at the festival is considered to be the main culture, however, during the festivities the guests will have great opportunity to try and buy a variety of natural products of local farms. Anyone can buy, for example, honey, which is collected on the island. Besides products at the festival will be exhibited souvenirs and jewelry in traditional style.
The festival program includes cultural events: children’s performances, concerts, tours, pastry master classes.
The closing of the festival will be accompanied by a concert with with the participation of the virtuoso of the Greek bouzuki Christos Nikolopulos.
