The city of Larissa, located in central Greece, is preparing take the 8th International Artfools Festival. He will pass February 20-28 under the motto “City: One Big Cinema”.
Event organized by a joint effort of non-profit creative associations and the municipality of Larisa with the support of the authorities of the region Thessaly.
The eight-day festival will include a competitive program in categories international, greek, student and animated movies. The program includes artistic and photo exhibitions, documentary screenings, workshops, meetings with film directors and film forums. This year, some of the events were decided dedicate to Korean and Norwegian cinema as well the works of the Greek director Nikos Kundouros. Special place allotted to seminars whose topics will interest beginners filmmakers. So, the last festival day will take place seminar “Legal issues in filmmaking”.
The main events of the festival will be held in the French Institute. Also involved are the Municipal Art Gallery. and Thessaly Institute of Technology. Movies will show with English subtitles.
It is worth recalling that Artfools is held annually. Festival one of the brightest and most important events in cultural life Larissa.
