The history of the festival began in 2003, when one of the first Greece’s hip-hop artists have teamed up to promote their genre. Since then, each year the event brings together Greek musicians with colleagues from France, Germany, Holland, USA.
But if in 2003 the festival was focused exclusively on hip-hop music, now it includes everything related to this culture: workshops, art exhibitions, dance shows, meetings with famous performers. The festival is accompanied by presentations of books and master classes.
Every year the festival organizers come up with a new “Theme of the Year”. Under it adjust the whole program of events, write corresponding songs and make appeals to viewers. And the topic takes topical and burning. So, the festival of 2014 passed under the sign of the fight against racism in any form. And in 2011 participants were invited to unite against the financial crisis.
