16 представителей ведущих туристических агентств и туроператоровfrom Saudi Arabia visited Athens. In the capital of Greece, they spent meeting with the head of the Ministry of Tourism and discussed actions within promoting Greek tourism and attracting visitors from Saudi Arabia.
The tourist market of Saudi Arabia is on the rise and can be attractive to greece. Country representatives received opportunity to make excursions to the sights of Athens and the most iconic places of Attica, as well as visit Nafplio, Epidaurus and Aegina island. Following the trip, guests from Saudi Arabia made optimistic forecasts for cooperation between the two countries.
Greece Tourism Minister Elena Kundura thanked them for the visit and reminded about the upcoming 2nd Seminar on Greek Tourism, which will open in Riyadh the other day. At this event, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National the tourism organization will be represented by the general NTO Secretary Dimitris Trifonopoulos.
Cooperation with Saudi Arabia is not the first attempt of Greece expand influence in the tourist markets of the Middle East. Earlier similar meetings were held with representatives of Iran.
