7 сентября в Национальном археологическом музее Афин открываетсяexhibition “Dream among the majestic ruins”. Art lovers will be able to see the Greek capital through the eyes of travelers XVII-XIX centuries.
The temporary exhibition will be opened with the participation of the Prime Minister Transitional Government Vasiliki Fanu. The exhibition will be part of events in honor of the 150th anniversary of the museum, although the main celebrations will be held in 2016. The exposure is an imaginary Journey to the past of Athens.
In collaboration with the library of the Greek Parliament Museum collected 76 works, including sculptures and archival documents, as well as engravings, paintings and illustrated publications from art Alpha Bank and Parliament collections. Exhibits from the city Athens Museum and State Archives will complement the impressive an exhibition.
The most interesting specimens have become the work of the artist Theodore Hansen, who portrayed the Erechtheion in 1881, unique archival photo and image of the temple of Zeus from the book of Edward Dodwell (1821).
To make the exposure interactive and more informative, for visitors developed special digital applications and released English brochures.
