Athens offers free guided tours

Союз гидов и Организация культуры афинского муниципалитетаjointly opened a new season of free guided walks in the capital of Greece. Such walks are designed to attract more tourists, show all the cultural wealth of Athens. Participants will be able to learn a lot of city secrets and see familiar places with unusual side.

October 16 after 5:00 pm near the Kanellopulu Museum – meeting with a guide for an excursion on the northern slope of the Acropolis. The place is known for its caves of Pan and Zeus, as well as sacred altars, which worshiped in antiquity.

October 17, after 10:30 from the ticket office will tour Caesariani monastery. This is a unique medieval monument that did not suffer even during the invasion of the Turks, and also kept rare frescoes

October 18 after 10:30 at the entrance to the Athens Archaeological Museum a group will meet to get acquainted with thousands of exhibits from different eras. This rich museum keeps artifacts of mainland Greece, islands and the Middle East.

After 10:30 on October 31, a walk on the street starts. Eolu. Exactly here the historical center of Athens originates. Collection – at the temple of St. Irina.
