28 октября в честь Дня “Охи” Афинский музей Акрополяwill open its doors to families with children aged 8 to 12 years old.
Families can explore the Parthenon Gallery as part of the new program dedicated to the Parthenon marble sculptures. At the counter information it will be possible to obtain a set of materials: printed publications, toys and other surprises. They all allow children to combine play and the learning process during a tour of the museum.
As an added bonus, free admission to all galleries of the museum, including the temporary exhibition “Dodona: Oracle of Sounds”. As in previous weeks, visitors will receive on festive Friday opportunity to ask any questions to archaeologists. Communication will be take place in Greek and English. Announced presentation of the exhibition “Dodona” (at 13:00 in Greek and at 11:00 on English) and a walk through the museum with an archaeologist (at 18:00 on English and at 20:00 in Greek). On the occasion of the holiday 28 October, the Acropolis Museum’s restaurant will be open until midnight. And then 20:00 the concert will begin with the participation of famous Athens jazz musicians.
Similar events on the occasion of the Day “Okha” are held in the museum Acropolis is not the first time. Last year, archaeologists and curators specifically developed an exciting program for families with children, offering participate in interactive games.
