Registration of a Thai visa in Vientiane
Type of visa and cost
In Laos, in a row, you can only get 3-4 one-time Thai visa, then you will be suspected of illegal work in the kingdom. Therefore, you need to either make a student visa, and not tourist, or show an account statement in a Thai bank and certificate that money comes from abroad. It is like a guarantee that income you have outside of thailand.
The cost of a single Thai visa is 1000 baht.
Single entry tourist visa for 90 days. It is given for 60 days, and another 30 days can be extended to the imigreece. This extension is worth 1,900 baht

Consulate working hours
From February 1, 2019 to obtain a visa from Laos PREVIOUSLY make an appointment on the website of the consulate. When recording choose a day and a convenient range of time. A number is assigned.

How to get to the consulate of Thailand

Documents for a Thai visa
The website of the Thai Consulate in Laos lists documents required for a Thai visa, in real life for us single entry visa required only:

The process of applying for a visa
First day
The queue is of two options:

How to get to Vientiane
Through Udonton
- First we need to get to the Thai city of Udonthani (Udonthani), located 50 km from the border with Laos, where you can will take a direct bus to Vientiane. Udontoni has a railway Station, so from Bangkok, you can take a train. And from Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai can be flown by plane. - There are two bus stations in Udonani: No. 1 (number one) in the city center near the railway station and number 2 (number two or new bus station) on the outskirts. We need NUMBER 1, as buses depart from there to Laos. Window ticket sales open at 7 am, and there is already a queue. AT 7.30 am tickets for 8 am were sold out completely, and the sale went on 10.30.

The bus to Vientiane stops twice – before the bridge friendship where you pass the Thai border guards, and after the bridge friendship where you pass lao border guards. Get lost there hard, just keep your crowd out of the bus.
If you move around with tuk-tuk, and come to the border yourself, then you need a bus to cross the Friendship Bridge, It costs 15 baht.
Other options
- Direct buses to Vientiane also come from such cities as: Nong Khai is almost on the border, and Khon Kaen (Khon Kaen) 150 km from the border. Therefore, if there are such buses, then from your city you can get to Nong Khai (the most convenient option) or to Khon Kaen.
- Until Nong Khai can be reached from the bus station number 2 in Udontani. Buses start walking from 8 am, travel time is 1 hour. And already from Nong Khai to get to the border on a tuk tuk, or sit on direct bus to Vientiane.

Way back to thailand
Right from the Thai Embassy to the border with Thailand, you can drive tuk tuk When exiting, the drivers jump straight in, offering services. The cost is about 60 baht per person, low, because, the whole group is recruited.
