Okay, kidding, we are not from the future, just this year we met New Year in Thailand. We started with the one that is older, good, he and in time was the first. To make the most thai meet the new year in Thailand, we decided, so to speak, to merge with the crowd, and for this we went to the 700 Year Fireworks Festival Stadium.
But we were not so smart, a huge number of cars on the street an hour before the new year, too, decided to go somewhere, so we stuck in a huge traffic jam, and from some point even started morally prepare what to celebrate New Year in Thailand destined to us in the shuttle bus. But the driver, feeling that something was wrong, was quick on the roundabout the way took us to the stadium, so five minutes before New year we rushed among Thais looking at the sky and looking farang and Khom loi lanterns flying all over the place. And only we they managed to set up the equipment, the countdown began, and directly at the time of the New Year came beautiful music, people happily applauded, and the sky lit up with beautiful fireworks! When the first wave of euphoria was asleep, finally my long-awaited desire – Oleg and I launched Khom loi in the sky (flying flashlight)! It turns out it has become a tradition in Thailand and in New Year’s holidays. I can not explain in words why this is so great and this action makes me so excited, but it is so unusually wonderful! Smiling seller who helped us do it, explained in “Thai” English, that with a flashlight you need to let something go to the sky and ask for something.
