SOR bridge in Bratislava and observation deck UFO restaurant

Less than a year, as they say, I decided to post photos of one of the main sights of Bratislava – Most SNP. Sat, recalled his last trip to Europe (it’s probably again go), and in particular walks around Bratislava, and remembered that bridge did not write. And there is an observation deck at the top, and I love viewing. How it is, I could forget.

In Bratislava, I was short-lived, literally several days, and in one of the days in the first half of the day I wandered through the old town, passed SNP bridge back and forth, and in the evening, returning from the sleeping area Petrzalka, decided to climb the observation deck of the bridge. Therefore, the views from below are made by me in the afternoon, and from above by the later in the evening.

Decrypts SNP (in Slovak Most SNP), like Bridge Slovak National Uprising. The language is a little like Russian, therefore, two whole letters from the abbreviation coincide. Previously called A new bridge, and many on the Internet are still looking for it, like “New bridge “, and not as” SNP Bridge “, although it is the same. The bridge is not quite ordinary and famous for being built without a single support under it (only those on the shore), and held at the expense of one outboard support. The length is 430 meters.

Bridge spanned over the Danube. On one side are sleeping districts, on the other Bratislava city and the Old City, and also sleeping areas.

From a distance, an observation deck resembles a flying saucer, hovering over the bridge. There is a UFO restaurant (UFO), sort of even quite good reviews. I did not go to it, but went straight to viewing. Somehow stupid for restaurants to walk alone. So, there the elevator is going from the very bottom, by the way, it is going pretty fast, brings you to a restaurant. From where you have to climb the ladder the roof. The height of the support on which the restaurant hangs is 84 meters, which means lookout somewhere, too, approximately at this height from the ground.

Surprisingly, I still remember how it was a little tireless from that the lookout walked under their feet. Apparently because bridge structures. Perhaps in the restaurant itself it was not felt that way, but on the roof was noticeable. And given the strong piercing wind (the playground is completely open), it seemed that now we will fly away to this flying saucer to neighboring Austria.
