The main post with useful information and my impressions about visiting the Auschwitz concentration camp, I already wrote. Here, on the contrary, there will be only photos from the Auschwitz I concentration camp. Impressive look is not recommended, but on the other hand, but how else—.
Let me remind you, Auschwitz is a Polish city that is in war the Germans called Auschwitz. It is a complex of two concentration camps Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II, located a couple of kilometers apart (visited separately). Photos from Auschwitz II camp can also be look at the link.
Auschwitz 1 was built in 1940 on the basis of the former barracks, therefore, those who came here were somewhat luckier than those who landed in the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp (Auschwitz 2). Here are the barracks more solid, brick, two-story, with heating less decent.
Barracks, or more correctly blocks, stand in 3 rows. First row by most are closed to the public, the second row is the exposure different countries, the third row is the reconstruction of various rooms (or there may be a direct reconstruction of the whole block to be). By the way, looked Exposition of Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Israel and some other country So in my opinion the Russian exposition was the best among of them. There are old documents there, and a lot of things and photos (in electron form on the screen), and the projector was saturated. Rest quite simple.

Fragment of the original crematorium door
In Auschwitz 1 there was one crematorium converted from a vegetable store. After testing the Cyclone B in public, the building was redesigned and appeared in the gas chamber. The camera functioned from 41 to 42 years old, and after it was redone in bomb shelter. Now everything is reconstructed from the original details.

I don’t have to go to the countries ’exposition, I think it’s all (or much) can be found on the Internet. Much more interesting (if you can so to speak, because “interesting” is not quite the appropriate word in this case) the third row of blocks. They contain prisoners’ belongings, as well as there you can see firsthand the conditions in which people lived and died— In Particularly block 10 and 11 is a death block. Here the cameras are like ordinary and standing, the wall around which people were shot, premises for various purposes.
