Klong Nin Beach on Lanta – I’d be here lived!

Honestly, despite the fact that Klong Ning on Lanta is not considered the most popular beach, I liked it more the rest. That’s it somehow hooked, and it is not at all clear what. So if you think about it, I would seriously consider to stay in on Koh Lanta only three beaches, which after visiting me Immediately liked: Klong Dao, Long Beach or Klong Ning.

The beach is quite long (about 2.4 km), it is located approximately in the middle of the west coast of the island, immediately after the Klong district Toab, if you drive from the direction of Saladan. Throughout its length, it does not varies greatly, so I don’t see the point in describing it in parts but I will divide the pictures into two halves – right and left.

Beach description

Along the coast on Klong Nin is a minor automotive the road with the romantic name Horizon Rd. On the sea side are cafe, and on the side of the rest of the island – wasteland, jungle and rare buildings like bungalows or cafes, or motorbike rentals, in general, ordinary building. Concrete Horizon Rd two times already the main route 4245, so driving here is not as comfortable as in the areas of the beaches of Long Beach and Klong Dao.

Between the road and the shore fit a narrow (50 meters) strip sushi, which is fully occupied by cafes and a couple of resorts, and buildings are a solid wall. Klong Ning is without a doubt one of the best beaches for a good rest throughout holidays, especially if you are coming with your family.

Klong Nin Beach on Lanta is a very narrow strip of sand during tide, and very wide at low tide, from 5 meters to 50, I would call such a spread. An almost flat coast, without surprises, is preserved on all over Klong Nina. Externally, only its edges differ: on the right (if you look at the sea) – this is a cunning mouth of a river, and on the left – the beginning of a low hill through which the road is pierced Horizne Road. The hill is rocky, steep, and it became natural limiter of the beach in this place.

The sand on Klong Nin, as I said, is normal for Lanta. Medium grain, yellowish, soft, but not loose, leg not falls through the ankle and walk on it is easy.

Entry, depth and waves

At low tide, Klong Ning Beach reminds Klong Dao, becomes completely unwieldy, the water leaves from the shore at 50-70 meters, go to the depth will take a very long time. Mostly people are not bothers, and goes to the sea a maximum of a knee or waist, and no longer goes, and bathes in what is at hand.

The beach is great for holidays with small children, for the paddling pool is just here the depth increases accordingly – very slow.

At high tide you need to walk about 5 meters to the depth of the neck. AT Low tide on this beach, many tourists just walk or run. Meters in 10 from the coast there are big stones at the bottom, but very sporadically.

Sun beds and shade

There is no generally available natural shade on the beach because trees that grow on the shore stand on land occupied cafes, and they are on this beach, as I said above – they are united line. Well, there is no such thing that a piece of beach remains, no one busy. Beach umbrellas and deck chairs can be obtained not in the form of rent, and ordering something from the menu, barter.

This is speaking of that part of Klong Nin, which is located in conditional center, with a maximum of infrastructure and amenities. So, on throughout the beach, closer to the edges (especially to the left) vacant lots and no one’s land where you can stay without any conventions, but without amenities.

Infrastructure

Between the road and the shore is a narrow strip of land, wide 20 meters, which is fully occupied by cafes and a couple of resorts. Klong Nin is a beach with a developed infrastructure. In the very right On the beach side there is the 7-Eleven chain mini-market and a lot around it. shops, shops, massage and everything else. 7-Eleven is conditional start of the beach, then the entire first line of Klong Nin is occupied a cafe, and across the road is a green void. There’s just some green vacant lot and rare Thai buildings.

Houses and hotels on the beach

If you face the sea, at the end of the left side are located several resorts, there is a strip between the coast and the road a bit expands, and therefore there are several expensive resorts But this is not the only accommodation on the beach, there is a choice, really These are mostly mediocre quality hotels with a little rating. above the average. How to find the beach

To move to the sea, you need to carefully look at the signs. along the road: where it says “free parking”, “Free shower”, “umbrella”, “sun chair”, and invitations in English like “come in to us at the light. “Some of the cafes hang such things, and if you ordering food or drinks from them, then you use these things is free.

You can just go through any cafe to the beach. And about the center of the beach has a strip of waste land where there are no cafes, and there too leave the bike and get off at Klong Ning, although I don’t see much difference, where exactly to go to the sea.
