I’m more interested in just natural, and therefore I most often go to the Crimea for some kind of camping, where you can enjoy the full mountain views. None less, there are cultural attractions that you can visit while on holiday in one of the resorts, or moving by car on the peninsula (either own or rented). The swallow’s nest is a castle above the sea, on the very edge of a sheer rocks, a symbol of the southern coast of Crimea. High spiers and battlements can impress anyone. Not far from Feodosiya there is a village Koktebel, translated from Turkic – Country of Blue Peaks. Incredibly romantic and a picturesque place where sights are located just on every step. Here come lovers of active recreation and clean azure beaches, and in September – also connoisseurs of live music: each this year the famous jazz festival takes place here, gathering the best performers from around the world.
Waterpark, diving and gliding centers, dolphinarium, dynotherium, Chameleon cape, Karadag nature museum, house-museum M. Voloshin – this is not a complete list of wonders of Koktebel! Nearby is also the mountain Klementieva – the most famous in Europe thanks to the power of the upflows. Here you can survive training flight on gliders, hang gliders, paragliders and the aircraft “Wilga” and “AN-2”, as well as a parachute jump. No less vivid impressions await those who dare to night sea walk to meet the dawn at the Golden Gate rock.

Jur-Jur is the most full-flowing waterfall in the Crimea, which is not dries up even in the hottest summer. It is located near the village Generalskoye in the gorge Haphal. The path to the waterfall is winding forest trails. Vorontsov Palace
Vorontsov Palace is one of the most beautiful places in Crimea. it a huge building of greenish gray stone that was built on over 23 years. In front of the palace are magnificent marble fountains in the winter garden and on the terraces of the southern facade collected exquisite sculptures. Around the palace on an area of 40 hectares a garden is laid out. Exotic plants, lakes, grottoes, meadows, thickets, magnolia and palm alleys, cascades, streams and heaps of rocks make this place look like a fairy tale. Grand Canyon
One of the most popular attractions of the Crimea – famous Grand Canyon. Here all picturesqueness opens pristine nature: steep cliffs, rapid waterfalls, grottoes and deep gorges. A little piece of the lost world over three kilometers hidden from civilization on the northern slopes of the main ridge of the Crimean Mountains. Once our route hike ran just through this very canyon, very beautiful, hopefully repeat sometime.

The most popular places in the Grand Canyon – spring source Pania and the Bath of Youth. In the strongest summer heat temperatures water here does not rise above 10 degrees. According to legend, anyone who dipped into the source, becomes healthy and young. Wow sure to think of something, only these legends are no different originality.
To get to the Grand Canyon, you need to come to Bakhchisarai, and from there – to the village of Sokolinoye. There you can take a taxi which brings to the bridge over the river Kokkozka – the nearest place to Grand Canyon of Crimea. I wrote more in the post how to get to Canyon
Nikitsky Botanical Garden
Nikitsky Botanical Garden is a masterpiece of landscape art. An area of 40 hectares contains a huge collection of rare flowers, vines and shrubs, as well as tropical palms, giant redwoods, rhododendrons, magnolias, yews of the preglacial period. Here regularly Thematic exhibitions (tulips, roses, orchids, chrysanthemums and even living butterflies), for the sake of which come to the Crimea tourists from all over the world. On the stone slides of the park grow cacti and agaves, lilies and Caspian lotuses bloom in the pools. AT tasting room you can try not only traditional Crimean wines and balsams, but also exotic fruits, grown in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden: almonds, figs, kiwi, Zizifus, fig, feijoa, olives.
You can get to Nikitsky Botanical Gardens on the highway Alushta-Yalta (M18): get to the village of Nikita and, following along Signs, go down to the main entrance to the garden.

Genoese fortress
Genoese Fortress – one of the most spectacular historical monuments Crimea. Built in the best traditions of the Middle Ages, it amazes engineering excellence. Ai-Petri
Ai-Petri is one of the most picturesque mountain peaks of the Crimea. Located near Alupka, in the area of the Yalta reserve. Climb on Ai-Petri can be on the cable car, passing from the village Mishor. This road is one of the longest unsupported spans. in the world, and the rise above the mountain ranges delivers the sea pleasure. The only bad thing is that on the cable car season a long queue and we could not get on it. Since we were going, then they came to Ipetri from the Grand Canyon, and then descended to usual minibus, and not waiting for the queue on the cable car.

On the plateau Ai-Petri, besides the unique nature of the southern coast, you can see weather stations, caves and beech forest. Ride horses and camels. Descent from Ai-Petri leads to the highest waterfall of Crimea Uchan-Su. You can go down from Ai-Petri on one of three tourist trails: Koreizskoy, Taraktashskoy or Botkin.
Taigan Safari Park
The park of lions Taigan is the largest nursery in Europe in the wild beasts. It is located near the town of Belogorsk, next to the Taigan reservoir (turn on Aleksandrovka).
Here on the territory of 32 hectares in free conditions live 58 lions. Three-meter trellised scaffolds were built above the park; which visitors walk, watching the behavior of predators. AT The park’s spacious cages also include camels, deer, antelopes, parrots, giraffes, tigers and boars. Children agree with pleasure pat huge cubs and take pictures with them as a keepsake (for separate fee). You can get to the safari park from Simferopol – any bus that goes towards Kerch, Feodosia.
