Today Olya (Nia) decided to tell us about her trip to Cyprus. If you have an interesting story, write to us at mail This concludes my introduction.
The trip to Cyprus was organized quite by accident, however, as and all the rest of my trip. Gonna rest, but it was in November, there was only one question, Cyprus or Crete, and the method banal logic and simplified, the choice fell on Cyprus, actually what I’m talking about later did not regret how much!
The trip was on a voucher, that is, for a previously booked hotel not far from the city of Limassol, food and airfare to Larnaca (and You can buy your own plane tickets on Aviasales.ru and Skyscanner.ru). And this event was organized for seven days. About the fun of the flight itself, I guess I will not tell. I think everyone who ever flew, found what to tell about this topic.

I’ll start right from the place of stay. We flew to the glorious hail Larnaca, on the very coast of the island. Struck by what literally a few meters from the runway already the sea began. On the one hand, this is a bit scary, but overall spectacle fascinating!
While the bus was carrying all of our Russian brethren along the coast the beautiful island of Cyprus, settling all the hotels, surprised a bit the words of our guide, who, pointing to the vast coastal region, densely built up with rich mansions, said this is the area rich Russian. And at home there is really big and beautiful, right away visible breadth and generosity of the Russian soul, especially in relation to themselves loved ones.
The hotel in which I had to spend my long-awaited vacation turned out to be quite comfortable and cozy. Separate two-storey houses, a swimming pool (seemingly even clean and not water), eucalyptus grove separating the territory hotel from the sea, and quite nice attendants, which was even partially Russian speaking.
If you do not go deep into the details of the entire trip to Cyprus, then I would like to note and tell about one of the days that I remember, apparently, for the rest of his life. Somehow, plenty lying on the beach and deciding to slightly diversify your holiday on the island of Cyprus, I decided to go on my own to the second largest resort on the island – the city of Limassol. It was not difficult to do that. Having bought a bus ticket, and having reached the embankment of Limassol, I decided go deep into the city in order to plunge into its flavor and local lanes At the same time, I noticed that far away far away at the other end of the coastline, it began to turn blue from the clouds sky, but I did not attach much importance to this, as usually, if on the sea and it rains, it is not long and very weak. I even have an umbrella in principle, was not with him.

Walking through the city center and finding a lot of interesting places there and attractions, I decided to return to the embankment and go to your hotel on foot. It was about a little more than an hour, but The prospect of spending this time near the sea made me very happy. AND only when I went to the sea, I realized that maybe my idea a bit premature and I should reconsider my plans in favor the bus. The sky above the part of the island where my hotel was located it was not, not blue, it was literally black from thunderstorms clouds! At first, I thought (naively) that maybe all this is not yet finally seriously and the clouds will go to the side, beating Limassol its rains, but it would probably be too good to be true.
As a result, when the sky turned black already directly above my head, I realized that the bus stop I do not just need start looking now, and it’s advisable to do it immediately, bearing in mind the thunderstorm that had happened the night before almost over everything the southern coast of Cyprus. And that storm was so strong that For the first time in my life, I almost cried from fear, being in my room, about once every five minutes stunned (literally words) its peals that seemed to be right above the ceiling. I did not have time to run to a stop, as it rained such rain, which in common people called “wall”, I would add – concrete. Vymoknuv for a minute through, I still managed to jump into the bus. After a few stops, I noticed that the rain was almost over and decided to still try to walk to the hotel, the benefit of Limassol, I drove almost half. But it was not there. Later about five minutes. Started the second wave of rain. Even more stronger than the first. I just managed to jump into the nearest cafe, what to wait out this bad weather.
A little dried out and a good lunch, in Cyprus, by the way, quite not a bad kitchen, I saw that the rain had ended and I could heading out to the hotel, as previously planned. But coming out of cafe, I suddenly encountered a new and rather unexpected for me and other people a problem – roads and pavements flooded completely Cars were almost at the door in the water in both directions. There was no sidewalk under the water either. Only decision, which came to my mind at that time, for my shoes became sorry, it razlutsya, remember the golden childhood and go to the hotel barefoot.

Flooding in Cyprus
Oh, how many interesting and funny suggestions and comments I heard during this walk! Apparently the locals did was unaware that the sea, the temperature plus 26 and the sun for Russians are in the summer even in November, and I was clearly barefoot A rare sight for the population of Cyprus. And standing knee-deep in water and pushing their cars, they most likely secretly envied me— A having met on the way an elderly couple who apparently thought as well as I also walked barefoot, I became much more fun, we are a friend smiled at each other and continued on their way affairs.
Later at the hotel, I learned what a flood is and for themselves The inhabitants of the island were a wonder. But the sight from sailing past cars and a walk almost knee-deep in water was really quite funny and certainly memorable! Here is such a trip to Cyprus turned out.
