Recently we visited Pereslavl-Zalessky. Honestly, here I am I was not already 10 years old, but I did not remember how it was before. In mind Only Nikitsky monastery remained, Blue Stone and beautiful nature. This time we decided to go to a couple of museums, one of which became the Iron Museum, which has been working since 2002. According to his reviews praised, but advised not to expect something serious. In fact so and it turned out.

Iron Museum
First of all, it is worth remembering that the word “museum” in Pereslavl-Zalessky does not mean a museum in the usual sense, and a small exposure. In particular, the Iron Museum is just a small two-story house, on the ground floor of which is a cashier and souvenirs, on the second a small room with shelves where exhibits, in this case irons. I think it’s obvious that besides the irons you will not see anything in this museum.
The cost of the visit includes a tour, which alternately lead fervent girls. Smartly tell the story of the evolution of irons, interspersing his narrative jokes. Speech memorized, impromptu ala there is no comedy club, but listening is fun, relaxed. Tour lasts just 10 minutes. In short, it all comes down to what was first a solid cast iron, heated on coals, then an iron appeared hollow, that is, the coal was put inside. Next came the variations on gas and alcohol, which did not take root in Russia (gas was not produced, and alcohol drank it). Leonardo da Vinci’s iron was also invented, with interchangeable metal blocks (cartridges) that were heated on the furnace and then inserted into the iron. The crown of progress was the iron electric.

Finding a museum is not difficult; it is located right on the main street in center, on the right hand, if you go from Moscow. Opposite him is a museum ingenuity, Red Square and Cafe Monpanse.
