Manor Pushchino on Nara – the ruins of the magnificent the palace

After a week in the green city of Pushchino, we are on our way back to Moscow jumped into the suburb of Serpukhov in another Pushchino for the sake of next manor. And that’s where the ruins really are is in the manor. Pushchino on Nara (not to be confused with the estate Pushchino on the Oka). Her even manor language hardly turns to call. It really looks like she, as after the bombing – some walls without ceilings and a roof with gaping window openings. And the palace was gorgeous apparently: tall columns with Corinthian capitals and cannelures (specially words found in wikipedia, you have to self-education, once a blog I lead), porticos from two sides, mosaic on the floor (still preserved, by the way), stucco on the facades, Italian arches. This house is bright example of Russian palladianism.

The prince S.I.Vyazemsky, brother A.I.Vyazemsky (owner Ostafyevo), was a good taste. And despite the fact that there is very little left from the house and around the mountain of garbage, the manor has some kind of the special charm and imagination itself draws a beautiful picture manor house. Actually, except for the ruins of the house and two stone tanks that were probably in the past fountains or ponds, there and nothing more. And in ten years this will not remain. This area is just located in the village and is surrounded by village houses and cottages, that is, a monument is not. I suppose that it is already useless to do it, to restore the house is impossible, it will be easier to rebuild. A total of 40-50 years ago the building was in quite normal condition.

Rumor has it that was before from the manor house and the underground passage across the river to the other side. At that moment, when we climbed ruins, there was another company, and the guy told me that the last time he visited the estate saw the beginning of it underground passage, and now it seems littered with earth. With another side, there are similar legends for all buildings near the rivers, although maybe it’s not a legend at all. By the way, the place is popular – for an hour while we were there, three companies visited this landmark, and it is on a weekday.
