One of the most remarkable places in the Caucasus is the Lagonaki Plateau. (Lago-Naki), about 2000 meters high. The views there open awesome. Interestingly, at least someone was indifferent? Initially, we thought somewhere to take a walk with backpacks and a tent, but the weather was not flying at all: a strong cold wind, rain, hail And besides, the sky is also almost constantly prolonged clouds. Therefore, we just went there by car and take pictures. Hope someday we go hiking through mountains to the sea from Lagonaki to Dagomys.
The fact that the asphalt road goes to the top attracts here crowds of visitors, most of whom come to sightseeing buses from the Black Sea coast. In october here it was calm, the season was already over, the campers left, the rhythm slowed down. Once upon a time, I was already here, just among sightseers, but only Azish cave was remembered, yes A dozen photos of terrible quality from a film soap box. To me it seems to be great that any person, even not loving hiking may be at that height and enjoy the mountain views. I do not I know if we still have something similar in our country. As I understand, this road was originally started to be built in order to bring it somewhere in the direction of Sochi, and then abandoned the project was frozen. Therefore, the road essentially leads to nowhere.

On the tops of snow lies
On the Lagonaki Plateau, we found ourselves thanks to an invitation to visit Elena Demena, which I already wrote about in my article How to move live in the village or become a fossil seeker. Good all the same live in the mountains if we don’t leave permanently to live in Asia and others countries, we will for sure exchange our “favorite” metropolis for a quiet place in the countryside, somewhere in the foothills.
