I somehow was not impressed at all by the Central Embankment Adler, although with pleasure I ride an hour and a half around this location of the old city. Then going to the sea, then again delving into streets and squares, jostling between pedestrians and bouncing on the ropes local fishermen, I gradually got close to the Mzymta River, and pedestrian bridge fell on the side of the Imereti Bay. And there, After the Imereti Yacht Port, the most interesting thing began for me, as for a non-professional cyclist. Embankment Nizhneimeretinskaya Bay was a paradise for cycling. However, for walking too.

Imereti Embankment in Adler
If you do not go into details, then the entire shore of the bay was dragged into concrete with massive parapets, almost the height of a man. From the sea there was an untouched beach, without concrete piers, which can and help save the shore, but terribly spoil it aesthetics. The entire central embankment of Adler is mutilated by these breakwaters, and to be honest, sometimes you don’t even want to look towards the sea. But on the Imeretinskaya Embankment a completely different picture: a clean beautiful shoreline and the sea, nothing extra.
Quay in places is empty, but slowly acquires quite civilized view: benches, cafes, elements appear landscape design, hire points for two- and tricycles, electric bikes and rollers. For pedestrians the pavement was covered with stone pavement almost three meters wide, and for two bike lanes with a special coating and speed limiters in places of congestion and transitions tourists. And all this is free. Five kilometers perfectly flat tracks.
You ride and walk overlooking the sea, in the fresh sea the air, surrounded by the same walkers and skiers. The track is long that it seems that it will never end and generally goes away somewhere in the sky. In places, speed bumps and hatches, especially if you are pushing your fifth point narrow for the fifth hour bicycle seat and forced to endure sharp butts in a busy buttocks. But this minus is more than interrupted by speed, safety and entertainment pokatushki. At any time you can stop, fasten the bike to the parking rack and go down to the sea. Sit in a cafe with a sunset view or on parapet sipping soda and gobbling up the freshest khachapuri with cheese
An ideal walking place in Adler, I would say so.
The end of the embankment, then – the border with Abkhazia
Central Quay Adler

How to get there
To get to Imereti Embankment, you need to go on highway A-147 almost to the very end towards the Abkhaz border. After congresses in the center of Adler and in the direction of Krasnaya Polyana, look for signs to the Olympic Avenue. Generally, the embankment starts from Imereti port, but all the fun awaits you about CafĂ© Parus and further east. So – Olympic Avenue and Follow the signs to the Ice Palace Bolshoi.
The same recommendation for public transport users. Inspection of the embankment is best to start from the stop Ice Palace Big. These are buses 125c, 135, 135e and minibus 57. Then take rent two wheels and enjoy walking along seas.
