We were lucky to see and touch ammonites with our own eyes, as well as chat with a person who is engaged in their search and processing. Eugene, a former trolley bus driver in Maykop, once visited the mountains and found ammonite, and this determined him a dozen years ahead. He moved from Maykop to Khadzhokh and he now has his own collection of fossils, even his own open museum.
I admit honestly, until this moment I did not know anything about the existence of ammonites, even the words of this did not know. Hard to imagine imagine that you hold in your hands an item that is hundreds of millions years old! I can’t imagine 10 thousand years for myself, but here everything is for millions is calculated.
